Nexus Digital Solutions is currently accepting resumes for the following
position:
Phone Technician / PBX Programming
Nexus Digital has an immediate opening for a phone technician to
perform service calls on our small business clients.
Must be experienced in phone wiring,
troubleshooting, and PBX switches, mostly Panasonic Hybrid and
Avaya switches. Additional hours are available for the
candidate that also knows how to program PBX switches and extensions.
Requirements:
- Must have own transportation, current valid driver's license, cell phone, and
basic phone tools.
- Must have a commanding knowledge of telephony wiring
and telephony technologies.
- Must be proficient at troubleshooting problems on a standard 66-block.
- Must be able to climb a ladder and lift up to 25 pounds un-assisted.
Bonus Experience:
- People Skills. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and sometimes
with carrier technical support.
- Willingness to go head-to-head with carrier technical support when you know
you are right regarding an issue.
- Driven to find a solution for the customer, and never give up.
- PBX switch and extension programming skills.
- Computer network wiring skills ("B" standard 10/100/1000 M over CAT 5 and CAT 6).
This is a contract 1099 position to start. Ideal candidate could be hired on part time or
full time in 60 to 90 days. This position is perfect for a retired communications expert who is looking
for occasional extra cash working with our small business clients only. Very
rarely we will agree to do residential. When we do, it's ONLY when our best business clients ask
us to help them out.
